Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Domus Keep mobile application available on Android and iOS. By installing or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the app for your personal household management purposes on devices you own or control.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the app or any portion of it.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
- Use the app to create a competing product or service.
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels.
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for:
- The accuracy of the information you enter (item details, costs, dates, warranty terms).
- Backing up your data — Domus Keep holds no copies and cannot recover lost data.
- Any decisions made based on reminders, warranty alerts, or bill tracking information shown in the app.
4. In-App Purchases
The app offers a one-time in-app purchase, Remove Ads (price shown at checkout in Google Play / App Store, which sets the regional price), which permanently removes advertising and unlocks full offline use. It does not gate any feature — every feature is available in the free app.
- Purchases are processed by Google Play (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS).
- The purchase is tied to your Google Play or Apple ID account and can be restored on any signed-in device via Settings → Restore Purchase.
- We do not process, store, or have access to your payment information.
- All purchases are final. Refunds are subject to the policies of the respective app store.
5. Free Tier
Every feature of Domus Keep is available in the free tier, with no usage caps. The free tier displays advertising on non-transactional screens and therefore requires an active internet connection so those ads can load; when offline, a "no internet" screen is shown until connectivity returns.
The one-time Remove Ads purchase removes advertising and lets the app run fully offline. If that entitlement is later lost (e.g. following a refund), advertising and the connection requirement resume, but all of your existing records remain fully accessible.
6. Advertisements
The free version of the app displays banner advertisements powered by Google AdMob on non-transactional screens, and requires an internet connection to do so — without one, the free version shows a "no internet" screen until you reconnect or remove ads. By using the free version, you consent to the display of these ads. The one-time Remove Ads purchase disables all ads permanently and removes the internet requirement, so the app runs fully offline.
7. Data & Backup
All data is stored locally on your device. We have no access to it and cannot recover it if lost. The Backup feature lets you export a .domuskeep file — a portable backup of all your data — and import it on any device running Domus Keep.
Restoring from a backup replaces all current data on the device. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from backup or restore operations.
8. Intellectual Property
The app, including its design, code, trademarks, and content, is owned by Domus Keep and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
- Reminders and bill alerts will fire at the exact scheduled time in all device conditions.
- Warranty status calculations will match the terms of any specific warranty agreement.
- Backup files will always restore successfully across all future app versions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to missed warranty claims, late bill payments, or data loss.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to discontinue the app or any feature at any time without notice. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable local law in the jurisdiction where you reside, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the courts of competent jurisdiction in your region.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
